FCT: Copyright, Greeking, Clearance Hands-On Workshop

  • The Union Shop 2210 North Pacific Street Seattle, WA, 98103 United States (map)

Film Community Training (FCT) is venturing into our first focused Art Department workshop! Join us for an engaging afternoon filled with social interaction and informative lessons that highlight the essential principles of copyright, greeking, and clearance in film, television, commercials, music videos, and all forms of visual media.

In this exciting new workshop, we will explore how art is protected under copyright laws, the concept of greeking and its purpose in media, and the necessary steps to obtain clearance for art to safeguard your projects. We are also excited to give our attendees a chance at the end to create their own copyright free art to be stored at Harbor Island Studios for future projects to come!

We are thrilled to partner with Darcey Zoller, a distinguished member of IATSE 488 and Women in Film. Based in Seattle, Darcey is an accomplished Art Director specializing in commercial advertising and a talented Prop Stylist for photography. Renowned for her visual creativity and meticulous attention to detail, she has worked with a prestigious roster of clients, including Apple, Stanley, Puma, REI, Microsoft, Amazon, Nintendo, Samsung, WA State Lottery, Chateau Ste Michelle, Discovery Channel, Subaru, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Facebook Oculus, OxiClean, SoundCloud, Intel, Brooks Brothers, and SanMar.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from a professional at the forefront of the industry. We look forward to seeing you there!
