SEATTLE CREATES presents The Creative Exchange: “Find Your Voice. Speak with Confidence.” with filmmaker, actor, and coach Michelle Pichon

  • The Media Production Center (MPC) 901 12th Avenue Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Many people know what they want to say but struggle to say it with confidence when they’re on camera or in front of others. This workshop helps participants bridge that gap.

Led by filmmaker, actor, and coach Michelle Pichon, this session introduces a practical, introspective approach to public speaking and on-camera presence. Rather than focusing on performance techniques, participants will learn how to draw from their existing strengths and access a more natural, grounded way of speaking that feels both authentic and effective.

Through guided exercises, writing prompts, and live practice, participants will:

  • Identify what makes them feel confident—or stuck—when speaking publicly

  • Learn simple tools to regulate nerves and settle into their body before presenting

  • Explore how to communicate clearly without sounding rehearsed or performative

  • Practice speaking on camera in a supportive, low-pressure environment

This work supports not only creative expression, but also professional communication, leadership, and career visibility. Participants will leave with a repeatable process they can use for presentations, interviews, and video content, along with the ability to show up with more clarity and confidence when it counts.

Participants can bring a short script (30-60 seconds) or choose one of the sample scripts provided.

Currently open to Seattle University students only.
