SEATTLE CREATES presents The Creative Exchange: Analog to Algorithm: DJing, Curation & the Art of Attention

  • The Media Production Center (MPC) 901 12th Avenue Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

Join us for a one-of-a-kind session where vinyl meets virality. Explore the art of DJing and the science of building an audience in the digital age.

Brian Rauschenbach is a Seattle-based digital marketing leader, DJ, and community builder with nearly three decades of experience at the intersection of technology, culture, and creativity. He is President & Head of Industry at Add3 and Co-Founder of the Seattle Interactive Conference, where he has spent over a decade curating content and fostering connections within the creative and marketing community. Alongside his career in tech, Brian has been an active DJ and promoter, known for blending genres and creating memorable experiences rooted in both analog and digital craft.

In this interactive workshop, Brian will explore how creative expression and audience-building have evolved, from vinyl turntables to today's algorithm-driven platforms. Through a live DJ demonstration spanning analog to digital technology, students will learn the fundamentals of DJing alongside modern content strategy, including how social media algorithms work, how to build an engaged audience, and how to leverage emerging tools like AI to create meaningful experiences online and in person.

Attendees will leave with practical frameworks for blending creativity and technology to build connection and culture in today's digital landscape.

Currently open to Seattle University students only.
